Reception Marquee
We aim to make your wedding at Athelington Hall a truly memorable event. Set in the picturesque gardens you will find our impressive custom made marquee, which caters for up to 250 guests seated, or 400 for a buffet reception. It is also possible to create a smaller more intimate wedding setting.
The marquee can be swagged and lined and there are different types of layout and designs of furniture, which you can personally choose from. For example, you could choose to inject some classy modernity into the design or opt for one that is more rustic and romanticized. The marquee is fully carpeted complete with elegant chandeliers, dance floor, stage and bar. We also have heaters to keep guests warm whatever the weather.
We know that everyone has different tastes and needs that is why we are flexible and will work with you 100% to create the day you want. Whether your looking for a traditional wedding, a sophisticated garden party complete with our ‘Cheeky Porker’ hog roast or a summer BBQ, we can accommodate your needs. You are free to complete your own individual look, both inside and outside the marquee. Almost anything is possible and we can even arrange bouncy castles, trampolines and play equipment to keep the children and the adults happy! We cater only for one wedding reception a day, which means we give every bridal party a personalised and attentive service.
Each reception is different and the seating arrangements, choice of food and music will vary according to a couple's individual preference. We can recommend excellent local caterers or you are free to bring your own. We also have contacts for everything from horse drawn carriages, to entertainment, florists and photographers.
