Athelington Hall - a Suffolk Country Wedding Venue
Tucked away in the idyllic Suffolk countryside close to the Norfolk border you will find Athelington Hall a working farm, which dates back to 1620. An impressive moat and acres of open fields surround the 17th century Hall, complete with a fine avenue of oak trees. Ideal for capturing those special wedding day moments.
The original Hall was built in 1620 with stud and plaster on an oak frame with a moat surrounding. Part of the moat still remains today and is well stocked for fishing. One of the original outside oak beams has a Tudor Rose, the Shamrock of Ireland and the Thistle of Scotland carved into it and the wall beam of an outer building contains 17th Century carvings of buildings.
Set in the picturesque gardens you will find our impressive custom made marquee, which caters for up to 250 guests seated, or 400 for a buffet. It is also possible to create a smaller more intimate wedding setting.
The marquee can be swagged and lined and there is a choice of layout and design of furniture. Fully carpeted complete with chandeliers, dance floor, bar and stage and of course heaters to keep guests warm whatever the weather.
Romantic, stylish or simple – Secluded Athelington Hall can be whatever you want it to be
